Property Snaps uses contractors to cover areas and overflow work.
So Why Work As A Contractor?
Working as a subcontractor is liking running your own business without the hassle, chores and costs of running your own business.
- Work when you want – fit it in around your full time job or choose to work full time as a photographer
- If your not confident with sales and selling then this can be a good opportunity as we handle the sales and customer side of business
- If you don’t have a good grasp on invoicing and accounting, we handle all the invoicing and accounting, you simply get paid for the work you do
- There’s no need to invest money into unknown marketing, we do the marketing and get the work, we have been doing this for a long time and know what works.
- You don’t need to edit any images, simply send us your raw files from your camera and our team does the rest, no more slaving away at a computer while your family sleeps
- No late night or weekend calls from clients, we handle all customer interactions
- On the job skills training, we teach you extra skills and techniques to better your skill set, you still need to have a basic understanding and some experience shooting homes, however we keep you updated as new techniques are developed. We can teach you how to draw floor plans, shoot 360 VR tours, aerial photos, elevate pole photos plus much more.
- Access to equipment only available to a hand full of people, we have build and designed a lot of our own equipment, in some cases you may have access to this equipment.
What areas do you need contractors in?
Currently we need photographers in the following areas.
- Melbourne CBD and surrounds
- Bayside area
- Mornington Peninsula
- Latrobe vally area
- Northern suburbs
- Geelong region
- Eastern suburbs (some parts)
What kind of equipment will I need?
To work as a contract photographer you must have the following equipment
- Canon digital SLR with minimum 10-22mm lens on a cropped sensor or 16-35mm on a full frame sensor (Sorry Nikon people)
- Back up camera and back up lens, lens must be the same as your master lens
- Two strobes minimum
- Memory cards at least 8gb worth
- Late model car with GPS or a new Melways
- ABN
- Public liability insurance upto 5 Million dollars
- PC with windows 7
- High speed Internet connection
- Mobile phone
- Laser measuring device (not ultrasonic) (optional although preferred)
When will I work and what experience do I need?
You must be available to work Monday to Friday up to 8:30pm in the summer months and 6:30pm in the Winter months
You must have experience shooting houses in daytime and twilight times and you must have some kind of customer service or sales background.
It is also advantageous that you have experience drawing up floor plans.
You can choose to work hours that suit you.
You will be bound to a confidentiality agreement and non competition disclosure agreement, which basically means you can’t work directly for our existing clients within a 2 year period from you contract termination.
We pay on 30 day terms, rates are available upon request and signing of a confidentiality agreement.
Work is not always guaranteed and you will be working as a sub contractor to Property Snaps.
